Welcome

The Office of Legal Affairs, located in the Lustrat House on North Campus, provides legal services to the University of Georgia community.  It is the duty of the Office of Legal Affairs to closely examine the law and the facts and to render advice that is in the best interest of the University.  The Office of Legal Affairs does not individually represent any member of our administration, faculty, staff or student body. 

The attorneys in the Office of Legal Affairs provide legal advice, assistance, education and training to administrators, faculty, staff and students in the course of their work and activities on behalf of the University of Georgia.  Each attorney at the Office of Legal Affairs has assigned to them separate units on campus as well as specific areas of law in which they specialize (i.e., Open Records, Contracts, FERPA, etc.).

The attorneys in the Office of Legal Affairs can be contacted Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
