Legal Specialist & Records Manager

As Legal Specialist and Records Manager, Ms. Tate serves as the principal point of contact for the Office of Legal Affairs, managing OLA’s website and central email. She is responsible for comprehensive records management functions, including archives oversight, records retention compliance, and the coordination of OLA’s role within the University’s Policy Library as the designated Unit Coordinator and Liaison. Ms. Tate also manages the appeals process for the Grievance and Disciplinary Review Committee, Student-Athlete appeals, and related BOR appeals. Additionally, Ms. Tate provides support to attorneys Mike Raeber, Natalie Cox, Haley Robison, and Noël Couch.

Prior to joining the Office of Legal Affairs, Ms. Tate worked for the National Treatment Center Study at the University of Georgia—a federally funded research project focused on substance abuse treatment organizations. In this role, she contributed to eligibility screening, data collection and entry, and a variety of business and administrative functions.

Ms. Tate earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Georgia.

In addition to her responsibilities within OLA, Ms. Tate represents the units of the Office of the President on the University’s Staff Council and currently serves as Chair of the Staff Council Communications Subcommittee.
