In response to a U.S. Department of Justice ruling requiring that state entities update their websites and mobile applications to meet revised digital accessibility guidelines, UGA launched a Digital Accessibility Program, and a Digital Accessibility Policy was adopted on October 1, 2025.

Together, the Policy and program offer technology, training, resources, and guidance to assist instructors, digital content creators, and others across the UGA community in meeting the federal requirements for accessible digital materials by April 24, 2026. Per UGA’s Policy, the unit responsible for the creation and maintenance of the relevant digital content is responsible for making content accessible or providing an accessible alternative.

Please visit the Digital Accessibility Services Hub, available at dash.uga.edu, for tools, trainings, resources, as well as a method to Report a Digital Accessibility Barrier.
