Noël Couch

Assistant General Counsel
As Assistant General Counsel, Ms. Couch provides advice to the following units and colleges:
- Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication
- Mary Frances Early College of Education
- Terry College of Business
- School of Law
- Georgia Museum of Art
- Office of Global Engagement
- Office of Experiential Learning, Office of Service Learning, & Office of Online Learning (divisions of the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs & Provost)
Additionally, Ms. Couch has responsibility for the following areas:
- Licensure/Accreditation
- Immigration
- Trademarks
- Co-Grievance Coordinator
- Contract review, including Clinical Affiliation Agreements and Procurement
Prior to joining the Office of Legal Affairs, Ms. Couch led careers in private legal practice and college athletics. Her practice included a focus on multi-district litigation, and she previously worked as a championships manager for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and as the Director of Compliance for athletics at Sacred Heart University.
Ms. Couch is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. She is also a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Digital and Broadcast Journalism and International Affairs. She competed for Georgia Gymnastics and is a five-time All-American.
