Noël Couch
Assistant General Counsel for Athletics
As Assistant General Counsel for Athletics, Ms. Couch provides advice to Athletics and the UGA Athletic Association. Ms. Couch provides counsel on a broad range of legal and policy matters for Athletics and the Athletic Association, including trademarks and contracts.
Prior to joining the Office of Legal Affairs, Ms. Couch led careers in private legal practice and college athletics. Her practice included a focus on multi-district litigation, and she previously worked as a championships manager for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and as the Director of Compliance for athletics at Sacred Heart University.
Ms. Couch is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law. She is also a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in Digital and Broadcast Journalism and International Affairs. She competed for Georgia Gymnastics and is a five-time All-American.
